    This piece was hand-built, hand-painted, and etched by Mata Ortiz resident Angela Corona. The seed pot has two turtles protecting the opening. In the fall, the women would take the seed for the next Spring and place them in these pots before stacking them. They would be placed in the corner of the home, stacked so the bottom of each pot would seal the top of the one below it. This would save space and prevent rodents from ruining the next year's crop. Pottery Ring included
